1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Words of Civilization ("the Game") or accessing the Kafeinman Games website ("the Website"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

Kafeinman Games ("we," "our," or "us") is an independent game studio based in Ankara, Turkey. These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you and Kafeinman Games.

2. About the Game

Words of Civilization is a crossword-style word puzzle game featuring 720+ handcrafted puzzles organized into tiers and levels. The Game is available on Android, iOS, and Desktop platforms. The Game includes features such as auto-save progress, helper tools (hints, wildcards, hammer), sound effects, music, and multilingual support.

3. License Grant

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the Game for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. This license does not include:

  • Modifying, reverse engineering, decompiling, or disassembling the Game
  • Renting, leasing, lending, selling, or sublicensing the Game
  • Copying, distributing, or making the Game available over a network for use by multiple devices at the same time
  • Using the Game for any commercial purpose or public performance
  • Removing any proprietary notices or labels on the Game

4. User Conduct

When using our games and services, you agree not to:

  • Use the Game for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Game or its systems
  • Use cheats, exploits, automation software, bots, hacks, or any unauthorized third-party software
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Game
  • Collect or harvest any information from the Game or its infrastructure
  • Impersonate any person or entity in communications through our services

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the Game and on the Website — including but not limited to puzzles, word lists, graphics, animations, audio, user interface design, and source code — is the property of Kafeinman Games and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

The Kafeinman Games name, logo, "Words of Civilization," and all related names, logos, and product and service names are trademarks of Kafeinman Games. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

6. In-App Purchases

The Game may offer in-app purchases ("IAPs") for additional content or features. All IAP transactions are processed through the app store from which you downloaded the Game (Google Play Store or Apple App Store) and are subject to the terms and conditions of that platform.

  • All purchases are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or the respective platform's refund policy.
  • Prices are subject to change without notice.
  • We are not responsible for unauthorized purchases made through your account. Please secure your device and account credentials.

7. Advertisements

The Game may display advertisements provided by third-party ad networks, including Google AdMob. By using the Game, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Advertisements may be displayed during gameplay
  • Ad content is provided by third parties and is not controlled by Kafeinman Games
  • You may control ad personalization through your device settings (see our Privacy Policy for details)

8. Privacy and Data Collection

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our services, you agree to our Privacy Policy.

In summary, the Game stores your progress data locally on your device and does not transmit personal game data to our servers.

9. Game Updates and Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue the Game (or any part thereof) at any time, with or without notice. This includes adding, modifying, or removing puzzles, features, game mechanics, and content. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Game.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Game and Website are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:

  • Implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement
  • Any warranty that the Game will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components
  • Any warranty regarding the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any content

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Kafeinman Games shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your use or inability to use the Game or Website
  • Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
  • Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code that may be transmitted through the Game
  • Any errors or omissions in any content within the Game

12. Age Restrictions

You must be at least 13 years of age to use our services. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the Game and agree to these Terms. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Game at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

  • Your license to use the Game will immediately cease
  • You must stop all use of the Game and delete all copies from your devices
  • Locally stored game data may be retained on your device until cleared

14. Third-Party Content and Services

The Game and Website may contain links to or integrate with third-party services, including but not limited to Google AdMob, Google Play Billing, and the Apple App Store. We are not responsible for the content, terms, or practices of any third-party services. Your use of such services is governed by their respective terms and policies.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ankara, Turkey.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

17. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Game or Website after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

18. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kafeinman Games regarding the use of the Game and Website, and supersede any prior agreements or understandings.
